Oral Surgeon George L. Grillon, DMD, FACS

Dr. George Grillon is a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
He received his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania where he received multiple honors and awards. He received his Oral and Maxillofacial surgery residency training at Washington Hospital Center. He is actively involved in training Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents at the Washington Hospital Center and serves as Vice Chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
At Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, MD, Dr. Grillon serves as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery where he directs the education of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residents from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center residents program.
Dr. Grillon also serves as Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring and Germantown and Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, MD, and has a teaching appointment at George Washington University Hospital.
As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Dr. Grillon brings comprehensive knowledge and skill to facial reconstruction procedures, wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting, oral pathology, treatment for facial trauma and correction of skeletal-based malocclusions. He is a recipient of the “Outstanding Surgical Attending Award” from Washington Hospital Center’s Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and he has been granted numerous other honors over the course of his career an as Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
He has been active and busy over the years in local and national societies and with various leadership positions including: President of the Southern Maryland Dental Society, President of the Maryland Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and as former President and Founder of the Montgomery County Volunteer Dental Clinic.
Dr. Grillon has published and lectured on various subjects related to Oral and Maxillofacial surgery and has been featured on an episode of televisions ‘Mystery Diagnosis’ program.
